Applications Difference between k9 glass and ordinary glass
The appearance of K9 glass and ordinary glass are very similar, but they are two completely different substances. The main differences are as follows:
1. Different materials: K9 glass is a crystal of silicon dioxide, and glass is just a molten mixture containing silicon dioxide.
2. Different functions: glass has only decorative function. In addition to decorative function, K9 glass also has piezoelectric effect, which has a special function of maintaining health.
3. The price is different: the unit price of K9 glass is several times or even dozens of times higher than that of glass.
4. Different physical properties:
(1) It has high hardness (Mohs level 7), while the hardness of glass is low (Mohs level 5.5), crystal can make marks on the glass, but not vice versa.
(2) The thermal conductivity is good, and it will feel cold when licked with the tip of the tongue. The glass is warm.
(3) It is distinguished by polarizing lens. K9 glass can transmit light, but glass cannot.
(4) The high-quality K9 glass looks clear and translucent to the light, there are no small bubbles in it, and there is no water mark, so it is expensive. Therefore, the quality level of K9 glass is closely related to the price.
5. The processing technology is different: the glass can be formed by hot casting, saving materials and labor, and low cost. K9 glass is a crystalline body and cannot be reversed after heating and melting, so hot casting cannot be used, but cold working methods such as cutting and grinding can only be used.
